A Beautiful Quote

I had to share this with all the mothers in the world but especially adopting mothers. I heard the most beautiful quote on the radio the other day. The women speaking about her own adoption said to "Let God write your motherhood story." It brought tears to my eyes. I think God definetly has a hand in the adoption process and you have to have a lot of faith just to make it through the paperwork but when you meet your child or children you just know that God brought you together.

I have to say thank you to all my AVMATS family. They threw me a shower/going away party today. I really had a hard time leaving and am going to miss my coworkers very much. You really don't realize how emotional the journey is sometimes but everything is making me cry right now. I am not sad, in fact I am so very happy, just very very emotional! Is that normal??

Becky,

My husband and I adopted through CHI in April 2006. We adopted two gorgeous boys from Novosibirsk Russia. I have been watching your blog since your first trip. I am so excited for you to finish up the wild ride and bring home those wonderful children.

Let me tell you, those emotions that you are feeling are VERY NORMAL!!! Your life is changing in a number of ways! You are allowing God to be the one to do it in such an amazing way. He is blessing you in ways you will not comprehend for some time. Shortly you will be the wonderful Mama to three beautiful children...YOUR CHILDREN!!! Don't think that you are losing it by any means, you are just becoming a mama!

I look forward to updates while you travel.

Safe travels!

That's a very beautiful quote. Thanks for leaving the message for me . . . Our adoption is in St Petersburg, so we won't get to meet you, but we'll be in Russia at the same time . . . just opposite sides of it! I'll be thinking of you and hoping that everything goes smoothly. Looking forward to reading more!

Yes, the emotions are normal. I said that I was having a "pregnant brain, a menopausal brain, and a stressed out brain" all at the same time! I think you can attribute your emotions to "pregnancy hormones" just as well!
We are so excited for you both! I saw your question about tips for packing. My only advice is to just plan on paying for overweight luggage, it will help to relieve that stress. You just cant pack light when you are getting three children!!!
Thanks for your comments on our blog. We will be praying for you as you head on over to this side of the world!
