Always Something

Our new paperwork should be sent to Russia on Friday. Like the title of the post says though it is always something. I waited until Monday night to print out new pictures (we had to send 2 pictures of us, a picture of the front and back of the house and pictures of all the rooms in the house) and found out that I deleted all the pictures that I took with our little camera. I had most of the pictures on my laptop but they were not the good pictures that we submitted with our dossier. The only picture that I did not have was the one of the back of the house. Thank God Sue and Scott live so close. Scott went over before work on Tuesday and took a picture for me so I could get it printed out at work and get all the paperwork to the agency at lunch. Thanks again Scott and Danielle for all your help!

The Fun Begins

I just talked to Marti, our socialworker. She said that we are one of only two families waiting in Tver for siblings!!!! I think my stomach did a flip when she told me that. She is supposed to be emailing me some region specific paperwork that Eric and I have to do and get notarized. The faster we get our paperwork done and turned in the faster it gets to Russia. It is kind of a competition because we can move up the faster we get our paperwork in. You know how Eric loves competition! I started to think about everything I will have to get started on (learning some Russian, thinking about how I want the rooms, etc...). Can you tell I am starting to freak out a little!

Region

Well, we received a call yesterday from our social worker saying that they would like to send our dossier to Tver. It is 2 1/2 hours north of Moscow. After a little checking and much discussion we are going for it. We are both a little nervous the closer it gets but excited at the same time.
